Membership of Great Moor Sailing Club.
New Members are always welcome at Great Moor.
The membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March. Discounts are available to those joining later in the year.
As a member of Great Moor you will receive an electronic key allowing you 24 hour access to the club grounds, facilities and changing. You can sail your boat at any time but we recommended "two boats on the water" for safety. Many members use the club mid-week during the warmer months to have a sail and a picnic with friends.
Being a mutual club without staff, all members are asked to assist with the running of the club in one way or another. This could take the form of a bar or galley duty, assistant race officer or safety boat assistant. Additionally you may choose to train and become a Race Officer or Rescue Boat Driver.
Members are also asked to help out at the workdays, this is where essential maintenance tasks are carried out. This can be a great way to meet other members.
Please refer to the club calendar to see the events and activities that we get up to.
There is an initial Joining Fee of £45 (*applicable for Family and Individual Membership) and a craft registration fee of £25 per year is payable on boats whether berthed or used at the club (£5 for canoes). A £10 key deposit is also required.
Junior members must have a member parent / guardian (full or social).
Group membership is also available.
If you are interested in finding out more about the club then why not come along one Sunday during the racing calendar (from March to January inclusive). There will be a committee member on duty to answer your questions.
