  • Coronavirus Announcement

    At this point in time the country is still in a lockdown state and because of this there are restrictions laid upon us by the government. As a result of this Great Moor Sailing Club has had to suspend all water activities until further notice. The grounds are open to members for light exercise but unfortunately no guests are allowed. Apologies to anyone who is looking at visiting our club with the view

    Alice does it again!

    Alice has won the RS Tera Pro Inlands at Rutland Sailing Club during the great weekend of sport last weekend. Alice - RS Tera Pro Inlands England - Cricket World Cup Lewis Hamilton - FI British Grand Prix Novak Djokovic - Wimbledon mens's Champ Congratulations to Alice and her support crew for a great weekend.     Mike Freeman 1939 - 2019

    It is with sadness that we have to pass on the news that Mike passed away on May 25th after a short illness. Mike had been active in the position of Bosun at the club since 2013 and had been a member since 2000. His main sailing interest had been his Albin Vega "Jenavive" 1768 that he kept at the Hundreds of Hoo Sailing Club on the River Medway. Mike was

    Monique Foster - Belgiam Sailability Regatta

    Over the first weekend in June, Monique Foster competed in the Belgium Sailability Regatta in Nieuwpoort, near Oostende. There were 15 Hansa 303's from Switzerland, Belgium and France. She came a very respectable 4th place, just missing out on a podium. Well done Monique

    Alice Davis Wins RYA Youth Champion Awards South

    The RYA has announced the winners of the RYA Youth Champion Awards. The Winner of the South region is Alice Davis from GMSC.     Great Moor Juniors do it again

    Alice Davis and her crew Abby Hire sailing an RS Feva (above) were top juniors at the Steve Nicholson Trophy - double handers (at Northampton SC) and Alistair Brown sailing a Laser radial (below) was top junior - single handers, on Saturday.
