Adult Training - September 2025

10th - 14 September

This is a three session course for the RYA Start sailing (level 1) and the RYA Better Sailing (level 2) syllabus.

By the end of the course participants will be able to get out onto the water safely and sail around the lake.

To gain your qualification you must attend all three dates.

RYA National Sailing Scheme Syllabus and Logbook (G4)
This book gives details of the syllabus of the RYA National Sailing Scheme for sailing dinghies, keelboats and multihulls with space for log entries and certificates.

The courses are available at Training Centres throughout the UK and Europe. RYA recognition means you will be taught to the RYA’s high standards ensuring your course will be safe, informative and enjoyable.

A two-day course following the RYA Level 2 Better Sailing Syllabus

Builds on the knowledge you will have gained on the Level 1 Start sailing course.

There is a theory session held on Wednesday 13th July at 6:30pm which students need to attend
Minimum Age 16

Course Content
How to sail in all directions, including an awareness of launching and recovering

Ability after course
Able to sail in light winds without an instructor on board
