About the Club
Welcome to Great Moor Sailing Club, on the beautiful Grebe Lake in North Bucks.
Great Moor Sailing Club exists to support our members of all ages and abilities and to promote sailing and paddle sports in a friendly, inclusive environment.
We support our members in many ways:
- Flexible access to the water: Full Members may use the lake at any time. Organised sailing takes place most Sundays throughout the year, offering the chance to race or cruise with a safety boat on hand. Club craft are also available for hire during these sessions.
- Training and development: We run RYA recognised training in both sailing and powercraft skills, along with informal development sessions on selected Wednesday and Friday evenings.
- A welcoming clubhouse: When not on the water, members can relax in the clubhouse, watch the sailing, or warm up by the log burner. On Sundays, volunteers run a galley lunch service and bar.
- A beautiful natural setting: The site includes woodland paths and glades to explore, with opportunities to spot the wildlife that shares our lakeside home.
If you're interested in joining, visit our Membership pages to find out more.
For those curious about our heritage, we also maintain a comprehensive library covering the history of the club and the site.
