Membership at GMSC.
We're delighted that you're interested in joining our club. Here is some more information to help you decide.
Membership Benefits:
- Membership at Great Moor Sailing Club allows families or individuals to access the site and use the lake (access is subject to membership type).
- The club also provides it's members with racing opportunities, RYA training courses and improvement sessions for adults and juniors.
- Lastly our members can store their craft on site, or hire from a range of club boats and paddle craft for use on the lake.
Membership Obligations:
- As a member-run club, all members are required to help in the running of the club, through duties at club events and maintenance work parties. Duties are not onerous and where required, training is given. As part of your application, you are required to acknowledge that you will undertake duties and accept the rules of the club as laid out in the members handbook below

Before applying, or if you are interested in finding out more about the club then we invite you to come along to the club on a Sunday, when there will be a committee member on duty to show you round and answer any questions not covered by our FAQs.
When you are ready to apply for membership, the process is simple:
- Use the link below to create an account
- Once you have an account you can apply for membership
- Tell us as much as you can about your interests (that support your reasons for applying for membership) in the "about you" section of the application form, so the committee can review your application.
- As part of the process you must confirm that you will follow the rules and constitution of the club and that you will undertake duties to support club activities (mainly on a Sunday) - if you have not yet read the Members handbook, please do so before starting your application
Once your application form has been received, it will be forwarded to the committee for consideration, and a decision communicated to you as quickly as possible.
Please be advised that spaces are limited in some membership categories and therefore application does not guarantee acceptance as a member.
