Spooky 2026 - Halloween & Fireworks
Get the costumes ready and join us at Great Moor Sailing Club for Spooky 2026, our family Halloween and fireworks party on Saturday 24 October from 5 pm.
We've got a packed evening planned for children and grown-ups, with Halloween games, fancy dress, pumpkin judging, piñatas, food and fireworks over the lake.
There'll be plenty to keep the kids entertained, including our lucky dip coffin, and mummy wrapping, plus prizes to be won along the way.
Dress up & bring your pumpkin
Come dressed in your best Halloween costume for our fancy dress parade and competition.
We'll also be holding our carved pumpkin competition, so get creative at home and bring your finished pumpkin along on the night for judging. There'll be prizes for our favourites.
Food included
Your ticket includes a choice of burger, hot dog or vegetarian option, served with oven-baked wedges.
The club bar will be open throughout the evening for drinks.
Fireworks over the lake
We'll finish the main activities with our firework display at around 7 pm a great way to round off our Halloween celebrations.

The event is open to Great Moor Sailing Club members and their guests, but total numbers are limited to 100, so early booking is recommended.
